The Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs (CCEA) has given approval for the PAN 2.0 Project, a transformative e-Governance initiative by the Income Tax Department.
Key Highlights:
➡️The project addresses the requirements of taxpayers, focusing on consolidation of multiple platforms/portals and efficient services to PAN/ TAN holders.
➡️ This end-to-end digital solution re-engineers PAN/TAN services, creating a unified digital platform for PAN/TAN services, bringing together all PAN/TAN related activities on a single platform.
➡️PAN 2.0 will be an upgraded ecosystem that replaces PAN/TAN 1.0, introducing a streamlined, paperless, and fully digital approach for PAN/TAN services.
➡️The Project will result into faster and more efficient PAN/TAN processes, and greater compliance facilitation.
